Kari Samantha is an American actress, singer (born on April 28, 1967). Wuhrer began her career as a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and as Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and car salesman. Her siblings include three. She was a teenage singer who was a regular in the clubs, escaping from her family to do so. She began studying acting at the age of 13 at the Wooster School.
